Signing up for registered agent service is just the first step. The next step is to fill out the appropriate form to record our appointment as your registered agent and file it with the secretary of state.
You can find all of the forms you need in the State Forms tab. For your convenience, the forms are pre-filled with our registered agent information exactly as required by the state. All you have to do is:
- Select the appropriate form from the list. For example, if you are foreign qualifying your business and you are a corporation, look for the form that says “foreign corporation.” (In these forms, “foreign” means outside your home state of formation). If you are forming an LLC, look for the form that says “domestic LLC.”
- Add your company information.
- File with the secretary of state following the instructions included in the Addresses tab.
When your filing is approved, we will be listed in secretary of state records as your registered agent and will start receiving legal documents on your behalf.
